In May, 2005, MTI Micro was named 2005 Fuel Cell Entrepreneurial Company of the Year by Frost & Sullivan. This Award was presented to the company that has demonstrated excellence in the alternative energy storage market by successfully offering a focused product line within its market segment, has demonstrated technical superiority, and has employed sound business and marketing strategies. This Frost & Sullivan Award signifies the identification of a unique product solution with significant market potential. Popular Science "Best of What' New" Award
MTI Micro was the recipient of the 2004 "Best of What's New" Award for its Mobion® Technology in an annual competition conducted by Popular Science. Best of What's New is the ultimate Popular Science accolade, representing a year's worth of work evaluating thousands of products and honoring innovations that not only impact the way we live today, but change the way we think about the future. Each year one winner in each of the twelve categories is awarded the highest honor, Grand Award, in recognition of products representing a leap over existing technologies. Frost & Sullivan Technology Innovation Award
In October 2004 MTI Micro was awarded the 2004 Frost & Sullivan Technology Innovation Award for its Mobion® micro fuel cell technology. The Technology Innovation Award is presented to the company that has demonstrated technological superiority within its industry. Frost & Sullivan evaluates candidate companies based on their ability to successfully develop and introduce new technology, formulate a well-designed product family, and make significant product performance contributions to the industry. To choose the recipient of this Award, the Frost & Sullivan analyst team tracked emerging and existing technologies, as well as R&D developments through interviews with major market participants and extensive secondary research. Finally, competitors were compared and ranked for relative position. Frost & Sullivan then selected MTI Micro as the company that received the number one technology innovation rank in the micro fuel cell industry for the Mobion® technology.
